The precious babe I Nanny for stayed w/me Sat afternoon, a rare occurrence. His mom is in residential real estate and works every weekend, and his dad usually takes him to one of his vacation homes on wk-ends. But dad asked earlier in the week if I would cover for him on Saturday and Sunday, said he had a friend coming into town. Without question, I knew it was a lady friend and she would be staying the wk-end at his house. (Mom & dad have been divorced over 5 years, her choice!)
Dad was to bring him to me Sat/noon and mom was to pick him up at 6. Instead his dad brought him over at 5 and said his plans had changed for Sunday, that he & Jordan were going to a hockey game. I don't ask questions, tho he usually ends up telling me.
Jordan told me he heard his dad on the phone, said he met the woman on Facebook, had never seen her. When she arrived at noon, his dad secretly rolled his eyes at Jordan. Then Jordan asks me what a "two-bagger" is? I was cracking up laughing, as he'd heard his dad call the poor gal that to one of his friends, AFTER he sent her home bright & early Sunday morning.
The dad is VERY good looking and dates very beautiful women. Apparently, this one wasn't! But Jordan, his mom and I had a big laugh out of it....only because his dad is, by his own admission, "a very picky ladies' man."
Great role model, huh? I don't respect his code of conduct, but he is so good to me and I just go with the flow, constantly shaking my head in amazement. My daughter says the stories are better than any soap opera could possibly be.
