Kindness is a gift

I work in a senior center cafe. A senior was sitting at a table alone eating breakfast. He asked me to sign a birthday card and have others sign it as well. I noticed he had a muffin with one candle in it. I asked whose birthday is it? He said it's my birthday. So i signed it and brought it into the kitchen for others to sign. We all exclaimed "ohhhhhhh, so sad". We invited him for lunch "on us". He did come back and I brought his lunch to him and rounded up the staff and we sang Happy Birthday to him. He was so happy. Just a small gesture can really make someone's day. Loneliness is hard. Costs nothing to be kind. :giggle:

I give him credit for reaching out. That’s so awesome. 👏🏼 My personality I would probably have a pity party for myself. lol I totally admire him for asking and YOU going above and beyond to make his day special. ❤️ That will probably warm his heart for a long time. Good Job ❤️
