King's Hawaiian Bread

I've seen so many commercials about this product I looked for it in the store. I didn't see any in the bread aisle and I asked a stocker about it. He said it was in the deli (go figure). They only had dinner rolls, not sliced bread. I went back to the stock man and said I wanted sliced loaves. He said he never saw King's Hawaiian bread in loaves, just rolls. The commercials show people making sandwiches with sliced bread. I just looked on their Web page and several varieties of loaf bread is made, but it's like $5 a loaf! I did a search for where that might be available around here. No store in 20 miles had loaves. I wonder why the paucity of King's loaf bread here?

We've never seen the sliced Hawaiian sweet bread but do buy the rolls, mini sub rolls, hot dog buns and hamburger buns. My husband loves this bread.

I tried the rolls once and didn't care for them. I think because they have a very slight sweet taste.

The sliced loaf is kind of new. Their main product is the rolls, and yes, they're a sweet bread. Not dessert-sweet, but they are sweet.

They look like that mass produced bread from a factory. You can't beat a local bakery for original taste and freshness.

I personally did not like the rolls. Too sweet for me. I do wonder if the sliced bread might make good French toast though. I haven't seen the sliced bread here though.

Apparently the rainbow bread is sold online only.

I don't think I've seen any regular bread from them on the shelves. Just the rolls.
