Doesn't seem to much new information yet.
Man smoke bombs subway station goes on stabbing spree in Taiwan, kills 3
Can't rule out it was supposed to be something bigger with more participants.

My nephew has lived in Taipei for several years now. Thank goodness he's home for Christmas vacation.
