Kringle Cookies

I cannot vouch for the cholesterol content of these.

3 hard boiled egg yolks
1 raw egg yolk
1/2 cup sugar
4 Tbsp. butter
4 Tbsp, shortening
2 cups flour
1/2 tsp. each of grated lemon rind, grated orange rind and cinnamon
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 cup chopped pistachio nuts

Force cooked egg yolks through a strainer, then combine with the raw yolk. Combine with the sugar, butter and shortening. Then add remaining ingredients. Rooll dough into a ball and chill thoroughly. Roll out to 1/8" thickness and cut out to desired shapes. Paint with unbeaten egg white, sprinkled with chopped pistachio nuts. Bake at 350F for 8 - 10 minutes.
