Landline Phone, Not Cell Phones

I still use my landline phones, they just aren't connected to landline service.

With bluetooth enabled on my cell, I connect to an Xtreme Technologies XLink BT HD - Only High Definiton Audio Bluetooth Cell to Home Telephone Adapter (One Cell Phone)

My landline phone is plugged into the XLink device linked above.
So when I get a call on my cell, it's routed to the Xlink which in turn is connected to my landline phone.
I call out on my landline phone too. It goes through the cell and cell service provider.

There are different versions of XLink available and mine is for one cell phone only but XLink has one that you can have 2 cellphones working with it. One caveat is that mine for single cell use has High Definition (HD) audio and sounds as good as a phone on actual landline service. The XLink device for adapting 2 cell phones is not HD but I have no experience with it and can't comment on the audio quality.

So long as my cell is within bluetooth range (~20 ft) of the XLink, my calls at home are routed through my phones with a real receiver I can hold in my hand. I also have 2 wireless extension phones (bedroom, kitchen) and since they are strictly connected to the landline phone base, they work just as they would if I had landline service.

Might sound complicated but it isn't. At the end of the day, takes just a couple of minutes to hook everything up.
- Plug landline phone into the XLink adapter
- Using the bluetooth function on the cell, pair the cell with the XLink
Basically that's it.

Here's one of many YouTube videos about the XLink device.
Takes longer to watch the video than to set everything up LoL
