Just saw that Larry died this morning after a week long battle with covid-19. I used to enjoy his nightly broadcasts and it seemed like they changed and I stopped watching.

I remember those suspenders! Always red. He had some interesting guests there for awhile. I would always check and see who the guests were before deciding to watch.

RIP, he went through so much in life especially health wise surviving multiple cancers and heart attacks. Also had multiple divorces/wives. I do think the loss of an adult child the past year probably took the fight out of him

To a pioneer in media

RIP

I'm not sure, but I believe he had some addiction/drinking/drug ) problem, which he overcame. For a while, if you wanted to get elected, you did Karry King. He was gracious and not confrontational, but he was going to ask the hard questions. I was sorry to see him leave the network.

I knew he had been married several times but did not realize until I saw it on the news that it was 8 times. He was an icon. I liked that he let his subjects actual talk for awhile instead of rushing through the interview.

"I remind myself every morning: Nothing I say this day will teach me anything. So if I'm going to learn, I must do it by listening." - Larry King

"My father died when I was nine and a half. We were on relief for two years. They call it welfare now, but it was relief then... I never forgot the generosity of New York." - Larry King

"I never forgot being poor, and I never stopped thinking how fortunate I am." - Larry King

Married 8 times? He tied Mickey Rooney's number.

I only watched his show a few times but in those few times he earned my respect. He was an icon for sure. May he R.I.P.
I thought him a true gent of the "old school", and any man willing to go down the aisle eight times must have had something about him besides stamina! RIP indeed, he felt like a friend even though you knew you'd never meet/met him.
