If you were leaving a dvd of yourself for your loved ones, what song would you use as the backdrop? One of my personal choices would be " In My Life" by the Beatles. This song really hits home for me, and for all the friends i cherish, that have come into and blessed my life with their presence. My brother also used this song in a video that he put together with certain memories of Dad after he passed away 11 years ago. It is exactly how dad would have felt about the folks in his life. I'd be curious to your selections. Do you have a favorite tune you'd us in your dvd of yourself for your friends and loved ones?

I'd probably do something instrumental. I am fond of "After The Rain" by Michael Jones. I'll have to give this more thought. My immediate thought was something by Springsteen, but not sure which song.

After my father-in-law passed away I put together a slide show and set it a lovely piece of music on my Mac. It still brings a tear when I watch it, even though I've seen it several times.

I'd choose something rockin' and danceable and nothing too poignant. I want to be wished out with a party.

Years ago I attending a funeral for a colleague who passed away far too young. They played Louis Armstrong's famous rendition of "What a Wonderful World" and there wasn't a dry eye in the church.

This may be a bit of a radical thought, but I want to help my family and friends let go when I die. If I was going to produce a DVD with a final message, I'd want to say "It's been an interesting ride and I'm glad you were part of it. It's time to go, so I hope you'll send me out the way I've asked. I love you all. Let's party!"

Sorry, I realize I veered a bit off topic there.

A friend of mine that passed this year requested "Ribbons in the Sky" by Stevie Wonder. What a beautiful song.

'Time To Say Goodbye' but it must be sung by Sarah Brightman.
I always get teary whenever I hear her rendition of this beautiful song.
Just in case you're wondering I don't go to lots of funerals but I do like to listen to a Sarah Brightman CD I have.

I never thought of leaving a DVD for posterity. That's cool. Wow! Future generations viewing you. Some of them would make you proud with what they will do with their future lives.
And others......You want your genes back:D

" Changes in Latitudes" or "Coconut Telegraph" were the only ones that spanned the age gap for us.
