Posting this because I'm sure there are several Stones fans out there. Their latest album is getting rave reviews. Here is a link to the Rolling Stone review http://www.rollingstone.com/music/albumreviews/review-the-rolling-stones-blue-and-lonesome-w453332 . There are no original songs on the album, just cover of old blues songs. It's also available for streaming on Google Music but not sure about the other services. I'm excited only because the last Rolling Stones album that I enjoyed in it's entirety was Tattoo You and that was released 35 years ago ! Plus Eric Clapton plays on two of the songs.

Blue and Lonesome is on iTunes as well and I like it when they do traditional blues material. Just previewing the tracks, I like Ride 'Em Down the most so far. Did you read Keith's autobiography? I really enjoyed it and it made me admire him even more.

My favorite so far is Just Like I Treat You but that could change with repeated listenings. They do sound like the Stones from the 60's with no overproduction sound at all. I did read his book and it is very fascinating. I ,like most ,had an opinion of him before I read it but came away with a lot more positive opinion about him after reading it.

I liked the Rolling Stones since the 60s, haven't heard any songs from this new album yet. My first album from them was Flowers.

I had forgotten this was being released. I have been looking forward to it as it is a blues cover album.
