The combination of the turmoil created by CV-19, the BLM protests, and the demands to Defund the Police have created another "spike" in the nation....applications for gun sales. As the violence increases in some of our major cities....NYC, Chicago, etc., an increasing number of people are preparing for even more upheaval.

I saw something about an increase of 145% over sales from June 2019.

I will be the last hold-out. When I buy a gun you know that things have really gone to hell in a handbasket.

And some of the same folks that are afraid to leave the house without being "armed to the teeth" can't manage to fasten a mask over their face without "having their rights" violated.

I've been a gun owner all of my life and have yet to EVER carry one of my weapons for fear of personal safety. In all of my travels I've never encountered any "bad guys", although some of the "armed at all times" people can't seem to make it to the mailbox and back without being accosted by some evil-doer.

Think maybe anarchy may be headed our way? It is here now on a small scale but I don't see anything yet to try to reduce it. The coming presidential election before, during and after will tell the story.

Well, let me ask you, can you tell by looking at someone who the bad guy is? I know I can’t. I carry my weapon anytime I go away from the house. It’s not out of fear, or even for protection. After wearing a weapon for 37+ years, I kind of feel awkward without having a weapon. And, besides, if I am in a grocery store, casino or wherever and some crazy person starts making the rounds, I’ll be ready.

Oh, yeah, I do wear my mask and even cover my nose. I have seen a lot of people wear a mask and don’t cover their nose.

When we lived in the city, and I had to take calls at all hours of the day and night. I carried a Ruger P95 Decocker in the car. There were a couple of times when I sat at a traffic light at 2AM, and a car full of questionable types pulled up next to me, and began to "Taunt". I merely reached over, and held the piston in my hand on the steering wheel, and they quickly decided to harass someone else. That is another reason why I'm glad we retired to the countryside....people out here act civil.

Many people have never been injured in a car crash, but they wear their seat belts anyway. It has nothing to do with fear. Caution is often misinterpreted as fear.
