Learning to be old

I'm 88 and my biggest problem is learning to be old. I'm learning to accept things I'm not used to - blind spots now and then, musical ear syndrome, cramps in legs at night, etc. My biggest problem is running out of energy. I've been eating a bigger breakfast thinking that may help and watching what I eat during the day. I've only been doing it for a couple of weeks and haven't noticed any increase in energy. I still want to take a nap too often.

Welcome to the forum! I think that many of us are trying to cope with physical issues. I hope you find topics of interest here to keep you occupied. What country are you situated in? I'm in Toronto, Canada.

Welcome home. Yours is the exact reason why I joined. To comiserate with other old folks....and learn how we all handle lifes challenges. Many here have been a help to me...and I hope I have done the same.
I also needed to learn to be retired at a younger than planned age (due to disabilities preventing me from doing job well_.
I have learned to take the good with the bad, like becoming a widow before I planned . I think I am doing OK.

Pinky. You and I both know what the pie shaped building in the photo is, but when I used to be a double decker tour bus guide some of the questions from the tourists were memorable. It was the original head office of the Gooderham and Worts distillery company which at one time in the 1890's was the largest single employer in the city of Toronto, with over 6,000 employees. The owner of the G&W company also built the King Edward Hotel on King Street. JimB.
