Legendary Meteorologist Dick Goddard Dies at 89

I recall watching him on channel 8 all my life--a really great guy who was a lot of fun, too.

Dick traveled to Columbus many times to lobby state lawmakers to pass what became known as “Goddard’s Law” – a provision that strengthened penalties for people convicted of mistreating animals.

He was a big time fighter for animal rights and finding rescue animals homes.
