After revelations that the FBI admits all that data collection didn't break one major terrorism case.

So in the same 24 hour period a Republicon controlled senate votes for and/or advocates bypassing the constitution and/or checks & balances giving one man power to expedite approval of foreign treaties with 'fast track'. AND, and shoots down legislation that would've curbed or event help prevent police state type surveillance through warrantless searches and mega data collection.

Talk about the status quo.

It seems that with every passing year, we come closer to the world George Orwell, in his novel "1984", envisioned about 75 years ago. With all this personal data tracking, the government knows virtually everything about what most people do in their daily lives. Knowledge is Power, and it is only a question of time before some of this "knowledge" is used in a manner that is contrary to our freedoms.
