Len Dawson's half time snack

Even back then the prima donna's were allowed to do whatever they pleased. But, more than likely, this is post game, don't you think?

Years ago I used to haul the visiting teams equipment, that played against the Cowboys, from and to the airport. The stadium was in Irving Tx at the time and it was a "dry" town (no alcohol).. I was instructed by their travel manage to have a 12 pack in the truck for them after the game..

Ken---Years ago when I was flying B-737's, I occasionally flew professional teams of all sports from their home city to their away games. I flew mostly the Orioles and the Washington Wizards. On the return flights, there was always plenty of beer, but very little hard stuff. It was actually fun and I got to meet a lot of pretty good athletes, but the one that comes to mind that had the most class was Cal Ripken, JR. The players were good to fly. Most of them slept, but believe it or not, we had quite a few 'nervous' flyers over the years.

Pappy----I met Cal JR & Cal SR. Cal Jr was new blood back then and just a really great person. The Dad was nice, but was a bit rough around the edges, if you know what I mean. Then, there was also brother Billy, who played up with the Orioles for parts of a few seasons. I think, then manager Earl weaver did it as a favor to Cal, SR. Billy was barely MLB material. Cal JR built a stadium along with a few other fields to make a complex in Aberdeen, MD. The one stadium is for LL, but re-sized to fit the little guys. He also owns a minor league team called the Iron Birds, which is an affiliate of the Orioles. Check it out: https://www.ripkenbaseball.com/youth_baseball/aberdeen/facilities Cal does a lot for youth baseball in that area.

Cal, Jr lives in a town of sorts named Cockeysville, MD. There is a huge (tall) black iron fence around his property. He also has a beautiful seaside home just outside of Bethany Beach, which is close to Ocean City, MD. I have never been in either home, but then again, I was never invited.
