Let's See Your Christmas Tree

I consider this one ideal size at a couple feet tall
No moving furniture around
aaaaand it glistens, while gradually changing colors
(doesn't do that incessant blinking)

Day after Thanksgiving......outa the box
Day after Christmas.....back in the box

I don't have a picture. I feel like Scrooge, Bah Humbug!!! I used to decorate the house. I had Xmas stockings hung up even for my cat. But whatever you put up, has to come down. And it never fits back into the boxes. Living alone, by 11 AM on Dec 25th, it doesn't feel like Xmas, but feels like Dec. 25th- and you have all this stuff to put away. It becomes something more you have to do. Ilike Xmas, i just don't love putting all that stuff away.
Bah Humbug!!!

I hope you feel better after your rant. I used to be the same.

Same here, so we kept putting it off. There's no rule that says you have to take them down after Christmas. The latest we ever kept a Christmas tree up was a few weeks before Easter! A colleague of mine had Christmas trees in each room of her house. I guess she never wanted to take them down, haha.

No Christmas Tree, no tinsels, no lights, no tin soldiers, no Christmas shopping, no Christmas bills on January 21, no Christmas music, NADA. Well, maybe I will play 1 Christmas CD since I have 18 of them. However, I live in a rental apartment and there is a tree next to our mailboxes. I guess that will have to do. It sort of belongs to all of us.

After the boys grew up & left home, seldom did we put up a tree at Christmas.

My mother loved decorating for the holidays.
The spruce trees out in front of the house got strung with lights.
A big tree in the living room's bay window,, had antique ornaments on it & tinsel.
She loved the electric lights to put on it.
So excited when bubble lights were invented.

Her gifts were so pretty you didn't want to unwrap them.

Christmas - BAH HUMBUG!! My parents preferred to stay on the island at Christmas (instead of coming to Vancouver where my brother, sister and I lived.) We could not understand their reasoning (too stressful, too tiring, etc, etc.) Now I understand - instead of going to my Daughter's, (1 hour away) I stay home (with Flash, the dog).

I MIGHT have a steak or roast a chicken or have a "fridge clean out"!!
