Like sauerkraut ?

I prefer the pillow pack over canned or bottled.

I don’t care for it right out of the package.

I rinse it and cook it low and slow with pork neck bones or ribs, chopped onion, chopped apple and plenty of black pepper.

Another vote for mashed potatoes and a side of ice cold chunky applesauce.
Yes, when you rinse it you remove a lot of salt, too!
 

I like it. Out of the package is better.
All that fermentation really does a number on my tummy sometimes though.
