I don't know of any chat rooms, but there are political forums. (Senior Forums uses forum software.)

Although I haven't checked for a couple of years, my experience of political chat rooms was finding one and only one of my political stance and it was constantly invaded by trolls from the opposition; there seemed to be plenty of forums for the opposition, though.

I suggest you go to the AARP website, they have an active political forum
Some of those posters can be down right nasty to each other, I was a member at AARP for 5 yrs,thank God I left when I did
