Local library changed hours

They used to be open from 10am to 8pm Monday to Thursday and from 10am to 2 pm on Friday and Saturday. Closed Sunday.

Now it's 9 am to 8pm Tuesday to Friday and 9 am to 2 pm on Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday, but they are actually open for more hours now.

Not as many people use libraries as they did years ago.
Maybe they thought it would be nice to give the staff two
days off in a row every week, plus with so many Monday
holidays, those were days they'd be closed anyway.

You could always call them and ask the reason if it's a concern.

surely lots of people would drop their kids off to school and go onto the library at 9am..or shift workers... or pensioners.. they do here anyway..

They keep saying they are moving to a new building, but you know how those things go. Everything gets tied up in red tape.

I used to go to the library early when I could. It's very convenient and I loved it.
