Local Pharmacy Changed Hands

The local pharmacy I patronized has been bought out by a national chain. The former friendly employees who knew the patrons have all been replaced by company employees who are aloof and all business. Everyone I know and discussed this with that had used this store is very unhappy with the corporate take-over and the cold shoulder approach of the new staff. Has this ever happened to you?

Yes, places get bought and sold. It's Life.

Be friendly and give them time to get to know you.

Yes, several family-owned stores that I have enjoyed over the years have closed or sold out to larger chains.

In most cases, the people that seem to miss them the most, including myself, are the same people that have gone to chain stores chasing bargains and better selection instead of remaining loyal to the local mom & pop stores. We get what we deserve.

I hope that they were able to cash in and get a good price for their store.

They take out the aggression on the new owners instead.
