Lon, former member, has passed away

Sad news, I remember Lon from when I first joined Senior Forums, a prolific poster

Condolences to his family and friends, rest in peace Lon

Lon was quite the character, always curious about what others were thinking. I knew him from three forums and kept up with the one he was most active on. I'm surprised at how badly I feel about this news. Sigh. Another one bites the dust. R.I.P. Lon.

i didn't know him. RIP tho.

As i've mentioned my daughter knows where to find my password book and what sites/people should be notified. Tho if i had warning like one friend did i might say some goodbyes. In the last couple of years two friends of my youth in 3D world died. In one case his children posted on his FB page, in the other because she knew she was terminal she said some private goodbyes and a close friend kept us posted on FB (strokes were claiming her ability to say what she was thinking). i had known both of them since before i was 21, had some time out of contact but the internet reconnected us. i have a handful of longtime cyberfriends whose deaths i would feel as deeply i did those of these two old friends.
So my heart goes out to anyone who felt close to Lon.

I just knew Lon from being on this forum and I feel about the same. He was a character, and sometimes his posts would bring me to a good laugh. Thank you Lon, Rest In Peace.
