Sad to hear the news today that Dick Clark is no longer with us. I'm impressed that he was willing and able to host the New Year's Eve celebration at Times Square for so many years on the TV, even after his stroke and other health problems. I remember looking forward to watching the teens dance and enjoy the music on American Bandstand. Aah...the good ol' days!

My 16 yr old asked me who Dick Clark was when he saw me visibly upset by the death. I told him about American Bandstand and all the bands/groups/entertainers that appeared over the years on the show. I explained to him every New Years eve watching Mr Clark do the countdown for Times Square. He said, Mom you sure are old. They dont have a show like that anymore. Soo sad that its truly the end of a remarkable era and this man gave so much to entertain the masses and bring good music to teenagers and others all over the world. Thank you Mr Clark and we tip our hat to you eternally
