Yesterday afternoon my 'movie buddy',Alexei and I saw movie'Love,Simon' a high school teenager who has always felt like an outsider, has a close group of friends. He has a secret that he's been hiding from his family&friends,he is gay.Simon begins an online romance with another classmate whose's identity he doesn't know. Another classmate finds the secret emails Simon has been sending,threatens to blackmail him.
This was a terrific movie,some scenes were laugh out loud funny with a wonderful young cast.Nick Robinson as 'Simon,his friends,Katherine Langford"Leah',Alexandra Shipp'Abby",Jorge Lendeborg"Nick". Jennifer Garner and Josh Duhamel played his parents, they were good in supporting roles. There is 1 scene in movie Simon has a talk with his mom,was wiping away tears.
Alexei&I both agree,this movie reminded us of the JOhn Hughes movies made in the 80's Sue
