I'm a big fan of magnesium. I take a magnesium citrate daily, Epsom salt baths now and then, and mag oil for muscle cramps. Here are some other benefits...http://www.psychologytoday.com/blog...gnesium-and-the-brain-the-original-chill-pill
I'm not sure how magnesium works for human diabetics but it is one of the first "go to's" for horses with Type II Diabetes. There are different types of magnesium the most common being Magnesium Oxide.
It works on one of my horses but not the other one.
Mag Ox with a combo of certain vitamins is also working on my horse with environmental allergies and a personality disorder. I've had that horse 17 of his 19 years and could shoot myself for not sooner recognizing he's had a mineral deficiency all this time. He's a completely different and one thousand times improved horse since I started him on Remission for horses. And doesn't that make you wonder how many children with personality disorders just might have a severe mineral deficiency and much off their problems would go away by finding out what that deficiency is, as opposed to pumping them full of drugs?????
Don't take my word for it because I only researched Magnesium as it applies to insulin resistant horses. Google "magnesium for humanType II diabetes" and see what comes up.
