Hall of Fame Cubs pitcher Rick Sutcliff was on the mound against the Cincinnati Reds. In Cincinnati every time one of their players hits a home run the scoreboard would fire off fireworks and sirens would go of. The first batter comes up and hits a homerun and POW the score board fires off. The second batter gets up and does the same and so once again the scoreboard lets off a batch of fireworks. The Cubs manager walks out to the mound and Sutcliff starts yelling at him not to continue as he is interrupting his rhythm. The manager ignores him and gets on the mound briefly then starts to head for the dugout. Halfway there he starts heading back to the mound when Sutcliff again hollers at him to go back. When the manager gets to the mound he explains to Sutcliff he is not there for him rather, he is there to give time for the fireworks technician time to reload!!
