A man escaped a French prison in a bold helicopter escape. This is a second escape from a French prison. The first time he used smuggled explosives. Also the convict's brother just by coincidence happened to be visiting him.

He was serving 25 years for the death of policeman in a botched robbery which is his crime specialty-robberies including armored cars.
 

I read about this! Very daring; they say there were 3 armed "commandos" assisting with power tools.

As CBS News correspondent Charlie D'Agata reports, if the case sounds like something out of a movie, that's no coincidence. Faid has said he modeled his infamous 1990s bank and armored car heists on Hollywood crime thrillers like "Heat," and once even thanked movie director Michael Mann for being his "technical advisor.".
