Man On Scooter Arrested For Dragging Dog

We had a fellow, down here in hot Florida, that drove a golf cart and his dog followed on a leash. The poor dog had to go through this everyday and you could tell the poor animal was hot and tired. My neighbor stopped him one day and asked him why he didn't leave the dog home where it was cooler. The man explained that the dog needed his excercise. My neighbor told him, tomorrow you switch places with the dog and see how you like it.
Must have worked, as I haven't seen the dog out anymore.

I'm so glad the guy on the scooter and dragging his dog was arrested. Some people are just awful. And to Pappy's comment about the dog being exercised on a hot day, the other side of that coin is the morons who live in northern climates, have dogs like boxers and pit bulls, etc., and don't bother getting warm coats for their dogs to wear outside! They're walking them and wearing a half dozen layers to keep warm and there's the dog with only his short hair, the equivalent of an undershirt! No consideration, no compassion.

Anyone who abuses their pets like that shouldn't have pets at all, I'm glad this one got arrested. Although that won't end the abuse.

In my state they now have Goddard's law which makes it a felony to abuse a person's animals. Not sure if it is enforced in other states. I can't stand to see this happen to the animals. What's it going to take for these people to wake up and stop doing these crimes.

Is that Dick Goddard? You must be in Ohio. All 50 states have felony animal cruelty laws, but the laws are not always enforced. As of last year, the FBI lists it as a Class A felony to be prosecuted as a crime against society.
