Former Manson cult member Linda Kasabian dead at 73. Although with the gang during their murderous rampages she took got immunity for testimony and was a big part of the case against Manson. She moved after the trial and changed her name. She passed in a Washington hospital

She said she was the getaway driver at the Tate LaBianca murders but did not kill or harm anyone.

No loss. She's lucky she got immunity. As the getaway driver, she would have been found just as guilty as the others.
She should have been cremated (along with the others) before death.
 

I never knew they had a getaway driver, always assumed one of the killers did it. Charlie sure was a powerful leader, thank God he never became a preacher.
 
Hmm...something to be said for failed artists. Hitler and Manson were both. Who knows how their lives would have unfolded if their art had taken off.

I think that's what Manson looked for in his recruits. He wanted people he could manipulate and control(some say he was exposed to some mind control and lsd experiments when he did was in a federal prison). Experiments or not manipulators know how to spot potential prey/weaknesses.
 
Charlie was street hustler and pimp. As a psychopath, he knew how to pray on people. He was also delusional. He expected a race war in which Blacks killed off Whitey, But since Blacks were inept, they would have to make Manson their supreme leader. BTW, Manson and the family were to live in a magic hole in the desert, while the race war went on. The girls in the family bought into this delusion with drugs and constant indoctrination from Charlie. While the murders were horrible, the mind control is frightening.
