45 years later,I think we doubled our size, have silver hair now, and traded the fancy car for two matching recliners but we had a good time getting to this point. Two great kids, two Grandchildren, car trips across country several times. Had our home built and paid for. Lost many family members, friends, and beloved pets along the way and had our ups and downs but that's life isn't it? We have our health, our children and Grands we are content and happy. Can't ask for anything more. The photo was taken on our honeymoon to VA and surrounding states. Honeymoon 1972 (756x800).jpg

Aloha and Congratulations! You're at 16,436 days and still counting... :eek:nthego:

Thank you all for your anniversary wishes. We had a nice quiet dinner out and spent time reflecting on the past 45 years and how quickly all those years passed. So many little things we both remembered and at the time didn't really make a great impression, but now are so meaningful. Some funny, like the time I was painting the ceiling in our bedroom by standing on the bed and was so intent on my project I walked right off the bed. Another time the hubby insisted he could swing his legs up as high as the Rockettes can in Radio City Music Hall in NYC and cracked 3 toes on my bedroom dresser proving it. Great memories.

Sounds like a perfect dinner together. That must have made quite the mess stepping off the bed while painting Ruth, hope you didn't get hurt too bad, probably landed on your knees I imagine. Poor hubby doing the Rockettes....ouch!

A very belated Happy Anniversary to you! I missed this post completely as we were off to San Francisco to celebrate my sis and BIL`s 50th that day. They were married April 22,1967. It rained on their wedding day-April showers you know. Did it rain on yours?
