We both made wills when we married nearly 45 years ago, and update them from time to time. We have no mortgage, no debt and are reasonably comfortable financially if we don't go too crazy. I have power of attorney where my husband is concerned, as he has only half a brain due to a subarachnoid haemorrhage. My children have power of attorney in respect of me, at my request, so if dementia should strike they can take appropriate action where our affairs are concerned.
