"Ah, the glorious golden arches, under which you can find treasures like the Big Mac, the McRib, arguably the best fries in America, and oh yeah, the McPizza. Wait, what? McDonald's sells pizza"?!

"If you grew up in the '90s, this is old news — but what may be new news to you is that it's still available at two locations in the U.S., reports Canada.com. The elusive dish first launched in Canada in the '80s, and quickly spread to the U.S. before being discontinued by the late '90s due to high prices and long wait times".

"These days, you can get a McPizza — if you're up for a road trip. The pizza is available in Pomeroy, Ohio and Spencer, West Virginia, thanks to McDonald's franchise owner Greg Mills who has somehow kept it alive after all these years (though Canada.com reports that it's not the exact same recipe)".

When I lived in Central Missouri (about 1998), the McDonalds in the closest town had a breakfast buffet on weekends. It was inexpensive, and delicious. The buffet had a variety of the foods that McDonalds usually serves for breakfast, but they were put out at a buffet table, and you just helped yourself to all that you wanted to eat.
The Hardee's there was different than any one I have seen anyplace else, too, and they served a whole chicken meal, like you might find at KFC, and it came with fresh homemade peach cobbler for dessert. As I remember, it was several pieces of fried chicken, and 2 sides, plus the dessert. My neighbor worked at Hardee's, and she said they started early in the morning and made all of their biscuits and cobbler from scratch.
I wish that we had this kind of fast food places here. Even the Popeyes Buffet here closed up.

Warren Buffett once bought Bill Gates lunch at McDonald's with coupons (VIDEO)

"Warren Buffett is the third richest man in the world, with an estimated net worth of $75 billion. But the Oracle of Omaha still values a good deal. In Bill and Melinda Gates' 2017 annual letter, which they addressed to longtime friend Buffett, Bill tells the story of a particularly economical lunch Buffett took him out for years ago. "Remember the laugh we had when we traveled together to Hong Kong and decided to get lunch at McDonald's? You offered to pay, dug into your pocket, and pulled out … coupons!" writes Bill".

I once questioned a friend who always shopped around for the lowest prices. For example, he would drive a long way, just to save a couple of cents per gallon on gasoline, when he could clearly afford to pay 50 cents more per fill up.

His reply was to the effect that...everyone should take advantage of sales, rewards, coupons, etc. Otherwise establishments have no incentive to keep prices low. It's for the good of those that shop around out of necessity.

Don't know if he was just kidding me, or not, but I thought it was a pretty cool reason. I really like Mr. Buffett.

Love it! Two very wise men.

.....I do all my mother's shopping, she is known by all to be very....ah, frugal, I get aggravated at times when she tells me that a certain store has a certain product on sale, never mind if it is out of my way....but when all is said and done she has always been able to help whoever needs help financially in the family.
