McDonald's Theft

MD's has great coffee, but for me, it stops there as for greatness. Well, maybe from time to time, I will grab a breakfast sandwich, which is only average, but will do at the airport. No sausage. Too peppery for me.

I often get two sausage Muffins, I toss the bread from one of them and I double up the meat on the other one.

I do this too as I like a milk with my burger and I like the apple slices!
Me three! If I have to eat at McDonald's. Just the right amount. I like the milk and apples and I give the toy to my grandchildren.

.

My pet peeve is that most of the hamburger places now have "two for" deals.
Great if there are two of you. But the single person who only buys one pays more.

I used to love Mcdonald's French Fries, occasionally on a long road trip we would stop and get a cup of coffee ( its good coffee) and some fries. But as of late, they have not been very good, either warm and hard or undercooked. So now, it's just their coffee.

Fifteen cents back in 1955, when McD's first opened, is equivalent to $1.40 now. :) Often they have specials with cheeseburgers now for only $1.

A friend gained a lot of weight when she was in her 40s and she said it was mostly because of fast food places like McD. But get this: she said she used to go in and get 2 Big Macs, 2 fries, and 2 small drinks to go. She said she got the drinks because she didn't want people to know she was going to eat the Big Macs & fries herself and she was embarrassed. :wtf: I doubt the counter help gave a rip.

While we're sorta OT, I recall posting an event in regard to Mac D's in another thread

forgive the compulsive redundancy, but since we're at it;

I have a habit of observing
then
jotting down the events as recalled

Went to town

Stopped at McDonalds

Walked in (drive thru was jammed)
Ordered a McCoffee
Stood back in order purgatory away from the ever growing line of pseudo-beef cravers

Frantic place

Pre diabetic saccharinated preschoolers zipping from the play room to the McToilet and back.
Young McMuthers, with old eyes, trying to keep track, chasing with sanitized wipes.

The McManager is a tad over the top.
Too happy
Worn out smile
No longer actually sees individuals, just the herd.
He’ll prolly go home a couple hours after his shift, trudge up the stairs to his apartment, throw his bills on the kitchen table, sit, open his McBrick burger with stale fries, and stare....at his gun.

The trainee is doing her best to remain in the flow, the running of the McBulls.

The old hand, been there forever (two months), instinctively stabs at a handful of tiny Heinz ketchup packets for the lacking customer in the emergency queue.

An old man, squinting at the menu board, trying to decide on which delicacy would be optimal in regard to his budget and digestive tract while the assistant manager idles in high gear, eyes darting.

Good coffee

No need for a refill

Made my way to the Ronald McDonald house of poop.
Left a rather significant obstacle in McStall number 2....fitting.
Noticed the auto flush was still struggling with it as I administered a papal blessing to get the McAuto faucet to respond.

My work is done here.

Outside, three McTrainees are by the dumpster, huffing down cigarettes, texting, eyeballing the time.

I am happy

For McRetirement

My favorite "fast food" is buying a large cooked chicken breast [$2] at the local grocer deli and making my own sandwich at home.

It's fast, easy, cheaper, tastes better, and much more nutritious

McD's chicken sandwich [with lettuce and mayo] is only a dollar.
It's tasty... but God knows what they put in that "chicken."

That's why I buy a cooked chicken breast from the grocer deli
[at least you know it's all chicken] and make my own.

I usually take the two little 'uns out for lunch once a week. Pack the 2 year old in her car seat and pick up the four year old at pre-K at noon, strap her into her carseat.

"Where do you want to eat? Let's go get PIZZA!!!"

Then the chant starts: From the four year old, "MCDONALD'S! MCDONALD'S! MCDONALD'S!" From the two year old: "DONNNN-ALLLLS!!!"

So we go to McDonald's, of course. Sometimes I get by with going to Chick-Fil-A but the two little connoisseurs vastly prefer McDonald's in terms of Happy Meals, the anticipated toy and the play area. So, if I want to retain my title of Absolutely Best Pseudo-Grandma in the World, we go to McDonald's. One of these days, retaining that title is going to involve the purchase of expensive trendy clothing and supreme-tchotchkes-of-the-month, so I want to milk that $2.99 Happy Meal for as long as I can......

In your area, Does McDonald's now require that you order from a Kiosk? I had stopped for Coffee a few weeks ago, I had to order on the Kiosk but then when it came to paying, and I will not put a coffee purchase on a card, I had to go to the counter to pay cash. Craziness, Another reason not to stop.
