Me and the Store Cashier

[Beezer]

Cashier: "Would you like to donate to the Children's Breakfast Program today?

Me: "If a parent can't pour their kids a bowl of cereal in the morning, shouldn't the Children's Aid Society get involved?

Cashier: (blank stare)

 

[Beezer]

Cashier: "Would you like to donate to the Children's Hospital today?

Me: "Will your company match what all of your customers donate?

Cashier: (blank stare)

 

[Naturally]

Me with hand out and palm up: Do y'all have a lost and found? This button was on the ground in the parking lot and figured someone might come back looking for it.

Cashier: *chuckles* (and I score a smile)

Me listening to the low volume piped in music in the single story grocery store: With a quizzical glance toward the ceiling I ask the gal if they have music lessons on the second floor?

Cashier: *chuckles* (and I score a smile)

Deli clerk = May I help you?

Me = yes then say nothing

Clerk stares at me not knowing what to say next.
