It seems like there are many 'self-appointed' automotive experts on YouTube, unfortunately, most of whom don't seem to know what they are talking about. They are followed by people who seem to know even less.
I was watching one guy, an educator from some training collage somewhere, demonstrating with his fist how a piston ‘rattles’ in a cylinder during ‘pinging’/’detonation’. Absolutely amazing, incorrect & physically impossible. And demonstrated it occurring during the wrong cycle. Commenters were loving it; absolutely bizarre.

Indeed. Now we are having to fight back with right-to-repair laws to counter the prohibited tampering guidelines being proposed by automakers and the motorcycle industry. Not a lot of support from lawmakers. They seem determined to side with the ($$) manu's.
Reading now Ford is patenting an electronic lock-out and AV repo (yeah, autonomous drive away to a repo lot) if one falls behind on payments.
