Medicare Advantage And Eye Care

Not all plans or locations are the same, mine just happens to be excellent.

Sunday morning the 9th. I woke up with a pain in my left eye. Didn't think much about it & put Systane eye drops in, that helped. By Sunday night the pain was worse, Monday morning pain was a lot more. At 8 a/m I called the scheduling number for eye care, explained my problem. The scheduler said she could schedule me at 1 p/m but not at my usual care center. Took that appointment. By 1:30 p/m the diagnosis was complete, common entropion.

Entropian is where the lower eye lid curls inward causing the eyelashes and skin to rub against the surface of the eye. Worse case scenario entropion can cause corneal erosions, infectious ulcers and vision loss.

The doctor put in a clear contact lense, prescribed an anti biotic to assure no infection & I'm scheduled for surgery on the 20th to correct that problem. I'm pain free now and happy to have the kind of no cost to me rapid attention to my needs advantage plan.
