Meet our latest foster Sebastian!

He was found, wet and dirty and matted to the bone, by the side of the road. No microchip, no-one has claimed him, so he’s headed to rescue soon, but needed an interim foster.

He gets along SO well with my crew, he’s 100% potty trained (barks once at the door when he needs to go) and he’s such happy boy now that those awful mats aren’t pulling on his skin and causing pain and sores. He is unfazed by crowds of people and kids. We had 20 kinfolk at the house to celebrate several birthdays, and he just hung out with everyone, enjoyed letting the littles love on him and pet him. His skin needs to heal so he’s getting medicated baths to ease the discomfort.

Looks like he might have been a man’s dog in his prior life because he’s sticking pretty close to Ron. He’s a such a sweet boy, perfect houseguest, whoever adopts him has hit the jackpot!! 🐾💙

The below first two photos show a striking contrast between when he was found vs now, not just in appearance but even more how very happy he looks in the second photo compared to his downcast and sad demeanor in the first. ❤️

awwww.. be still my beating heart...can I have him ? 🥰🥰

Ah, such a cutie! :D

Well done you for fostering Ronni - thank gawd for people like you.

I can't afford to have a dog anymore (the price of vets bills), and I must admit I thought once about taking on and training one of those guide dogs from puppy to being trained for use to the blind/deaf etc, (they deal with the costs etc), but I know I just wouldn't be able to give them up. I'd be too heartbroken.

Not gonna lie, Ron is smitten! 😂❤️ which is pretty funny considering that he made it clear when we first got together that he is NOT a dog person.

Well that’s a bummer because *I* made it clear that Im a package deal, I come with 5 kids and a bunch of grandkids and two (at that time) dogs and that I would always have a dog and that if that was a deal breaker for him then it would make me sad but we could still be good friends and hang out.

Needless to say the rest is history, all he asked was that we not add to the dog population at our house, and I happily agreed as long as I could continue to foster the small needy ones. An excellent compromise!

He came to love my dogs, but the LAST thing I expected was that he would get attached to a foster! He’s been making some noises about maybe possibly perhaps we might think about the idea that…… 😂😂😂😂😂

Stay tuned! 😉
