Mexican Car Insurance?

I'll be driving to Mexico next month for a few days, been a long time since last doing it. I understand that I will need insurance from a Mexican company. I see lots of ads on the internet but have no idea which are reputable.

Does anyone have a recommendation?

I called my insurance company State Farm, they agree that I needed it, but they do not offer.

Gotta have it or you might not be coming back.
We always got it at the border crossing before you cross over.
Now days with the Internet it might be easier.
Pick a company & try searching for reviews on them?

Yes, I always bought it at the border.
Have no idea if they would ever pay off if something happened.

No US companies do, the Mexicans require that it be from a Mexican owned company. Some US insurers will give referrals, and I may go that way if I don't hear from someone who has purchased it.

Anyone have any idea what the cost is and what type of coverage is included? I would buy all I could if I were going to be driving down there. I have heard some really freaky horror stories. Some sounded made up, but being Mexico, who knows?
