Mia Farrow felt obligated to address speculation over the deaths of three of her children.

Mia Farrow posted a lengthy statement on her verified Twitter account Wednesday, writing that "Few families are perfect, and any parent who has suffered the loss of a child knows that pain is merciless and ceaseless."

"However, some vicious rumors based on untruths have appeared online concerning the lives of my three children," she wrote. "To honor their memory, their children and every family that has dealt with the death of a child, I am posting this message."

She wrote that her daughter, Tam, died in 2000 at age 17 from an accidental prescription overdose, her daughter, Lark, died in 2008 at age 35 from complications of HIV/AIDS, and son, Thaddeus, died by suicide in 2016 at age 29.

"Any other speculation about their deaths is to dishonor their lives and the lives of their children and loved ones," she wrote.

OMG!! I did not know she had lost three of her children!! My heart goes out to her because that is the worst pain a mother can feel. I had a friend who had lost 4 of her 5 children. I marveled at how well she handled it. With all that's going on, I think Mia has suffered enough. The haters need to get a life and pray they never have to feel the pain she's been feeling.

Her children have spoken out against her and claimed she was horribly abusive towards them. If all that is true, she is a total piece of crap in my book and it's probably why her some of her children were so screwed up to the point of committing suicide. Eff her.

I never understood why people act as they do toward famous people. It is as if they know the person personally and can pass judgement based on that knowledge. At most, I have met some well known people for just a short while, which is certainly not enough to get to know them. The ones I have met have been musicians when I was on the road, so it wasn't the "golly, I am so thrilled" fan thing, but other working musicians.

I bumped into Steve Allen at the Hollywood Bowl once when I was in high school, but all we said was "oops, sorry, hello" or something like that. But I don't know any of these people so there is no way I can discuss their personal lives as if I know them or worse, pass judgement on them based on any supposed first hand knowledge.

If there is anything one could relate to from such a social distance, it might be sympathy for the loss of one's family members, as we might do here for each other.

I honestly don't know why anyone would "hate" Mia Farrow. To me, it seems it's just another of the "alternative facts" mentality, which stems from the internet. Ya know, there are 300,000,000 people, other than Oswald, who were 'proven' shooters of Kennedy, space aliens are the ones, who built the Pyramids, not the Egyptians, The Moon Landing was really just a CIA set in Houston, Tx. It's rumor, gossip, and lies which are touted as fact. And just repeated over, and over. I believe it is self deluding people, who have some unknown grudge, who somehow gather a little credibility by using the internet, which does not screen for truthfulness. I think that wanton misinformation is not healthy for a community, which needs truth and real facts.
