In my head the months of the year are in an oval, counter-clockwise. December is in the 1 position with January just left of the 12 position. It truly is turning the corner after January 1st heading towards Spring. I’m not sure how or when this developed. Deja-vu is another weird phenomena that happened to me a lot when I was younger. I remember thinking “this has happened before” and then it fades quickly. Weird weird.

When it's the coldest season since 1967 that is easy to do.

In Northeast PA, if it snows in December, the snow won't make it to Xmas. In mid January is when the snow starts to hang around. So for me, winter is from mid Jan, to March. Yeah, it may be freezing outside, but without snow, it ain't winter.
