Missouri woman sues for return of husband's corpse she kept frozen

A Missouri woman is suing for the return of her husband's corpse, which she kept in a freezer in her bedroom before it was taken by authorities last year.

Barbara Watters, 67, of Joplin, alleges that Jasper County Coroner Rob Chappel has ignored requests for the return of Paul Barton's remains after charges against her for abandoning a corpse were dismissed.

She kept him around because he was so cool!

She wanted to keep their relationship alive, but his response to her desire was decidedly chilly!

She enjoyed watching "Frozen," with him!

While she still had a burning desire for him, he simply had freezer burn!

She thought he was great fun, but her friends found him a bit stiff!

She wanted him to listen to her problems, but when she tried to bend his ear, it broke off!

She felt he was distancing himself from her, and accused him of being cold blooded. He neither agreed, nor disagreed!

She actually was relieved that she no longer had to cook for him. She told her friends that he only ate frozen dinners!

You crazy man! Freezer burn, LOL.

He often gave her the cold shoulder.
He read "The Ice Man Cometh"
He could freeze someone with a glance
He was cooler than the other side of the pillow

I'm confused by this article.
#1. She is "Barbara Watters". But she's supposed to married to "Paul Barton". Why isn't she "Mrs. Barton"?
#2 .How can you "abandon" a corpse, if she kept him stuffed in her bedroom freezer? That's togetherness, all right.
#3. Isn't there some kind of health code violation in keeping a human body in a home freezer?
#4, It's 2020- a census year. Do we count old Paul?

I think it's time for a "Dead Parrot" sketch revival...
