NPR will lay off approximately 10% of its workforce, or around 100 employees, the company announced on Wednesday.

In an internal memo sent to employees and reported by the Washington Post, the NPR chief executive, John Lansing, said the layoffs came largely as a result of declining advertising revenue.

That's too bad. I don't hear too much advertising there, and I think those companies are supporters of public radio. Wish they could work around those layoffs and keep the employees.

I know people, who listen to NPR love it, but unfortunately most don't listen to it.
I don't care for it. It's always stories about minorities and gays and Native Americans and other oppressed people, or it's stories about music and art by minorities et. al. That's just not my kind of thing. Not that there's anything wrong with it (to be politically correct). :)

Listen..from time to time..
Terry Gross, host of an early afternoon interview-based radio show, Fresh Air, has had some interesting people on...
that I've enjoyed...and (even) learned something from. 🤗
