Boyndie drome is the local name for RAF Banff, a former WW2 airforce base, but now housing a wind farm with 8 2Mwatt wind turbines.
It was initially an advanced pilot training base, but later became the home of RAF strike wing, attacking German shipping.
Little is now left of the base..
