Mother of Four "Forgets" To Feed Her Newborn

I don't have any children and it's probably too late for me now. Not to many women want to have a child at 60 years old. I have never been married. I devoted my life to serving my country and didn't want to cause my family any problems by moving them around and believe me, they do move you around.

I guess my question is, how do you forget a baby. Don't they all cry when they need fed or a diaper change or are just not feeling well. Don't most babies get colic and have belly aches? This situation is just plain sad.
 
People are odd. The parents, both, were afraid that the State would take away their kids because they were straving, so you'd figure they would feed the baby to prevent the taking of the baby. DUH!!! And the parents had a caring mother and family, State support and counseling. Is stupid a crime? What if your parents are Dumb and Dumber?
 
People like that should never have kids, my heart goes out to all the poor babies and children who suffer or die due to neglect from the parents. Some idiots get all worked up worrying about the pregnant woman and don't want her to have a choice in carrying a baby to term, but to hell with the children once they're born, then they have no concern at all......lots of hypocrites in this world, sickening.

In summertime ethics course Corpus Christi State University in Texas in early 1990s i surprisedboth my professor (whom i'd had severe psychology courses with) and fellow students by advocating licenscing of having kids even tho i stated i had one big condition that was unlikely to be met in USA: The law would have to be applied equitably to all!

When i reminded them that i clearly stated my big IF, the conversation started to take a very different turn till Prof shut it down so we could 'move on'.
