HBO series: Watchmen depicts a long history of social and racial clashing between white supremacy and people of color. I enjoyed watching the series, but ashamed by the ignorance and arrogance of the few white people who claim to be supreme over people of color.

I started watchIng The Underground Railroad on Amazon Prime. I must inquire to the accuracy of the barbaric treatment and disrespect toward people of color hosted by white society. I certainly don’t doubt the possibility of what is depicted is true, but again I shamed by white heritage and the wrongful treatment of fellow human being.

Thanks for the review, @Mr. Ed. I read the book that Underground Railroad is based on and really liked it but was wondering about watching the series, partly due to the brutality you mention. Unfortunately, some other things I've read report that the barbarism depicted is accurate. (I don't know about humans sometimes, I really don't).

Here's an interesting article about the book and the series: https://www.smithsonianmag.com/hist...pJobID=2001736633&spReportId=MjAwMTczNjYzMwS2

My senior thesis at the Naval Academy was on The Underground Railroad. I found it most interesting, especially the networking that went on back then. Only they didn't know anything about networking or even the word, for that matter. Living just outside of DC, I was able to travel up to Pennsylvania to see for myself where the networking was channeled through. The "Freedom Train" as it was called, freed a lot of slaves back then and the history around that era is very thought-provoking. There are many books about this topic and you could spend the rest of your life studying about the UR. You keep watching these journals and you will be amazed at what you will learn about our history during that time period.

I will not take on guilt for any horrific treatment and shame done by ignorant, prejudiced cruel White fools who back in the past stupidly thought that people with Black skin were less human, less intelligent than they. (Even Black people from their own ancestor's homeland used some of them for monetary advantage). Present day conflicts between people with white skin and people with black skin forever clashing.
I don't know if it would help Black people gain more trust in White people when working along with them in doing whatever each can do together if, by showing documentaries on those White people who have worked hard, some even having been killed, are seeking justice for Black people...............

it is not a matter of chance that racially infused movies and tv shows contents are popular today. Nothing haphazardly happens in life or the media.
What we see within the media is carefully orchestrated for us, the viewing public.
