This morning,I went to see the movie'Wonder' based on the novel by R.J. Palacio.
The story is about a young boy,August"Auggie" who was born with facial differences,he's had many surgeries in his young life. He had been home schooled by his mom,Isabel.She and her husband,Nate decide its time for him to start 5th grade at a mainstream elementary school.He goes to the school a couple days before classes start for orientation.The school prinicipal,Mr. Tushman introduces Auggie to 3 of his classmates who give him the tour.
The movie confronts the bullying Auggie encounters,how he rises from it,becomes an inspiration to his classmates and school.
A terrific cast,Julia Roberts&Owen Wilson as Auggie's parents,Jacob Tremblay as'Auggie' ,very talented young actor.Izabela Vidovic as his sister,'Viv',Mandy Patinkin,"Mr Tushman',Noah Jupe,MillieDavis as his friends.
I really liked this emotional,uplifting movie,was wiping away tears in some scenes.
I had the theatre all to myself,I recommend this movie Sue
