This afternoon,I went to see new movie,'The Mountain Between Us' starring Kate Winslet,Idris Elba.
The story is about 2 strangers who meet in airport trying to get to their respective destinations when their flights are cancelled due to weather.'Alex' is a photo journalist,she's getting married the next day.'Ben' is a brain surgeon headed home to operate on one of his patients. They pay a local pilot to fly them in his plane to Denver. The inevitable happens,plane crashes on a mountain.Alex&Ben are stranded,they work together in extreme cold weather,embark on a difficult journey walking/climbing in deep snow in the wilderness. They push each other to survive.
I had read 'mixed reviews' about the movie,I don't care I enjoyed it. Kate Winslet"Alex',Idris Elba'Dr Ben' were terrific together,the scenery was absolutely beautiful.It was filmed in Vancouver,British Columbia Sue
