Mrs. Robinson please check in!

So my son in laws coworker went and fed and watered my cats. He sent pics of our house still standing. He didn`t send pics of the cats (darn) but my SIL asked him if any cats came to eat and he said "Yes,a bunch!" So I am hopeful that they all made it!

Oh such sadness. Glad your house made it through and I hope you account for all the cats. I'm glad food and water was able to get to them.

Mrs. Robinson, are you home yet? EX just emailed and said they left and went to a shelter where they stayed until yesterday afternoon. The fire is just two miles away from them but moving in the opposite direction and that the word now is "advised" but not mandatory. Your last post was Wednesday...I'm hoping that you've been able to safely get back home.

We were finally able to go back home today but we have no power. Power company came by and there are four poles burned so they have to have a helicopter come in to replace them. They said hopefully by Tuesday. So we cleaned out the fridge (yuck),looked for cats (found all but one but then found a note from Animal Control that they came by and fed and impounded one kitty because he was sick. He has asthma so maybe the smoke was too much for him. I called them but the person I spoke with did not know what his illness was. She said they can treat him or euthanize if he is too sick to treat. So I am waiting for a call back from the vet.

My sister lives very close to your ex and is still on Mandatory Evac. Mandatory is about a quarter of a mile from where he lives and she lives about a quarter mile past the evac. line. I`m thinking she will be able to go back tomorrow. The fire is really blowing up on the other side of the lake though-people that had their own fire a few weeks ago are now having another one. It`s just awful.

Fires, tornados, hurricanes, landslides, floods, tsunamis, sinkholes, volcanic eruptions and earthquakes, just goes to show the Earth is like other planets but a little less violent. Melting polar icecaps will forever change out landscape and our young people will witness that as well as the other phenomenon's.

Glad to hear you're okay, Mrs. R, but sorry about the power. I hope the sick kitty can be treated and go home again.
