Why do some vitamins listed at greater then 100% of daily requirements. A few examples on my Nature's Way "Alive" brand.
Thiamin 1,667%
Riboflavin 1,467%
B6 2,000%
B12 1,667%
Why not just 100% of DV??

Maybe it helps sell the product. Many people think--with vitamins--the more, the better.
Your body only takes what it needs & sends the rest to the kidneys - expensive urine. That's one reason it comes out in those strange colors.
And, there is evidence that we can't absorb vitamins from pills; we're designed to absorb vitamins from food & in a pill, too much of it enters the bloodstream too quickly & too concentrated & it's not good.

Well if you have a blood test and you are deficient in B12 wouldn't you want to know exactly?
