If you've ever eaten bean sprouts you've had mung beans.....we buy ours already grown but they are easy to grow at home (we've done it) in just a few days in a damp towel under the sink.
Mama made a big pot of Vietnamesse Bun Bo Hue soup this afternoon that we'll be adding bean sprouts to when we eat a bowl tonight......it's also customary to ad them to Pho soup as well as other dishes.
New to me too. @Becky1951 Egg foo young, along with fried rice, is one of my favorite dishes to get at the Chinese restaurant. The food in that picture looks so good!
I love them, use them in homemade teppenyaki dishes. Add at the last minute to bring texture and freshness to the dish! Also in any fried rice and stir frys.
