The major grocery chain is already stocking Just Egg, made with mung beans, in some of its locations. Over the coming weeks, the product will be offered in about 2,100 Kroger-owned stores, including Kroger, Ralphs and Fred Meyer.

"Hey mom, what's for breakfast?" "Mung! Any more questions?!" 😝 :poop: 😝

Boy that name really turns me off! But it might taste really good who knows?

I've had sprouted mung beans and they taste fine.

I have a little trouble with the notion of taking natural healthy foods and transforming them into over-processed factory foods that are supposedly much better for us than the natural foods they are intended to replace.

I suppose it's good for the chickens and if it helps us to feed the world it will be good for us too.

Fine, but the name will not win over many potential customers but then it may not be an issue if they taste good. Veggie burgers in the supermarket freezer sections taste like crap to me. I also don't have the guts to try the meatless Whopper at Burger King.

No veggie burgers here or mung or meatless burgers. I eat very little meat but when I do I want the real thing!
