My All-American Independence Day Meal

My patriotic American menu is a German hot dog with all the fixin's and a tiny Mexican ice cream sundae.

I add the seasoning to the meat before cooking. To ground turkey I added some soy, barbecue and Worcestershire sauce, dried onion, garlic powder and chopped fresh spinach. Mixed it all up and spread in a 9 x 9 glass baking dish and bake 40 minutes at 350F, let rest a few and cut into quarters.

The potato salad:
Several yellow potatoes, cut in 1/2 inch cubes and boiled until tender. Place in large mixing bowl. Add one small green bell pepper chopped, 1/3 bag of broccoli slaw (mill with a knife a few times to coarsely mince), 10 diced baby carrots, 3 boiled eggs coarsely chopped. These seasonings to taste - ground black pepper, Frank's hot sauce, garlic powder, ground corriander. Add equal amounts of ranch and honey mustard salad dressings to desired consistency. Let chill overnight. Scoop servings onto beds of romaine lettuce leaves.

The hot dogs are gone. I only defrosted a few. Have enough for two more servings of turkey burger, one of beans and PLENTY of potato salad leftover. You just can't make a small batch of that. No more cherries - would purple grapes do?
